Hey there. It's me.
*cricket chirp*
I haven't been around these parts for over a year. And even then, I wasn't spending nearly as much time here as I once had. Indeed, the treacherous days of my over-emotional youthful youth would have been all the drearier if not for the effervescent grace of deviantART and all of its participants.
As I near the end of college career, I realize that I need to come back to the online art world. I need to set up my blogspot, use my wordpress more frequently, and actually get a domain name for my website - which, interestingly enough, is hosted here through the dA portfolios.
The question is... does deviantART fit into that online art world? Does deviantART fit into my future?
It's a great way to connect to other artists, particularly students and younger artists. I can make friendships here and find projects to work on that stimulate me. I can receive feedback and find inspiration around every corner. I can share works quickly and easily. I can find reference without much effort (to be honest, I've been using dA for reference all along!).
If I do re-join... do I do it as Cruzle? Or do I find another dA home to align with my more current interests and line of work?
If you have any feelings strong enough to type a comment and enter, please do! I'm quite curious about deviantArt. The true spark was having a professor of mine join the site. Now that I've been away for so long, there's a lot for me to learn, but a lot of new art and artists to explore, as well!
I hope you've all been doing great. Feel free to link me to any work or projects you have that you're really eager to show off!
